The Creators App
Privacy Policy
The Creators App is a demonstration fan app, built with Jingle Boost, that shows a creator's profile, events, photo gallery and videos. It is published by Minutes Network ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the app collects and why.
The app has no accounts, sign-in, payments or advertising.
What the app collects
- Push notification token. If you allow notifications, Android issues a push token for this installation of the app through Google Firebase Cloud Messaging and Expo's push service. The app stores this token in our database (Google Cloud Firestore) together with a random record number and whether notifications are switched on. It is not linked to your name, email address, phone number or contacts. We use it only to send notifications about the creator's content.
- Update check. When the app starts, it asks Expo's update service whether a newer version of the app is available. The request includes a random installation identifier created by the app, the app version and the platform. It is used only to deliver app updates.
- Connection data. As with any internet connection, the services that deliver the app's content (Google Firebase, Google's YouTube Data API and Expo) receive your device's IP address and basic request details. We do not use this to identify you.
What the app does not collect
The app does not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, location, photos, files, audio or payment information. It does not use the advertising ID and contains no analytics, crash-reporting or advertising software.
Content and links
The creator's profile, events, gallery and video list load from Google Cloud Firestore and the YouTube Data API. Videos and other links, such as the creator's website, social profiles and event tickets, open in the YouTube app or your browser. Their own privacy policies apply there.
The app uses YouTube API Services to list public videos and never accesses your YouTube account. By watching videos through the app you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and the Google Privacy Policy applies to YouTube.
Sharing
We do not sell or share personal data. These service providers process data on our behalf to run the app:
- Google (Firebase, Cloud Firestore, Firebase Cloud Messaging and the YouTube Data API)
- Expo (650 Industries, Inc.): push notification delivery and app updates
Security and retention
All data is sent over encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) connections. We keep a push token record for as long as the app is offered, or until you ask us to delete it. Uninstalling the app invalidates its push token.
Your choices and rights
You can turn notifications off at any time in Android Settings, under Apps, The Creators App, Notifications. Uninstalling the app stops all collection.
Depending on where you live, including the EU and the UK, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your data and to object to its processing. We process the push token with your consent, given when you allow notifications, and the update check under our legitimate interest in keeping the app working. To make a request or ask a question, email enquiries@minutesnetwork.io. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will publish the new version on this page with a new effective date.
